More than 1,000 ducks were raised in a 100-acre paddy field, and the Shenyang Agricultural University’s intelligent duck house was modified so that it could Classical conditioning ducks. The duck is well-trained. The intelligent duck cage door opens automatically at dawn. The duck runs to the rice field to look for insects. At night, when the music beckons the duck to go back to the duck cage, the cage door closes automatically.

Under the guidance of Shenyang Agricultural University experts, the hehu rice production specialized cooperative adopted the methods of rice-duck co-cropping, returning the decomposed organic fertilizer from rice straw and livestock manure to the field, and returning the soilless seedling-raising substrate using the decomposed rice straw as the base material to the field, etc. , to realize rice production and rice duck farming ecological. 

Using duck to eat weeds in paddy field, returning duck dung to field directly, composting duck dung and rice straw in duck shed, and producing rice soilless seedling substrate, etc, no waste was discharged during the whole production process, and the fertilizer and medicine were saved. Wang Mingwu said happily, this year, the rice paddies raising ducks, I have not used a herbicide, a pesticide has not been used, the worms in the field was eaten by ducks. 

Returning duck fertilizer to the field also plays a role in loose soil, chemical fertilizer on the use of a base fertilizer, reduced by 30% -40% . Good-quality rice yields also increased, and ducks grew stronger. In addition to rice-duck farming, this year the cooperatives 6000 mu of land are also in the“Weight reduction action”, the application of organic fertilizer, chemical fertilizer use reduced by about 20% . The next step is to reduce fertilizer use by more than half in three to five years.
